What Each Setting Means

v=DMARC1 — Protocol version. Always DMARC1.

p=none — Monitor only. Emails that fail SPF/DKIM are not blocked. Use this first to see who's sending on your behalf.

p=quarantine — Suspicious emails go to spam. Good middle ground after monitoring.

p=reject — Block all unauthorized email. Maximum protection. Only use after verifying all legitimate senders pass.

rua=mailto:... — Where aggregate DMARC reports (XML) are sent. Daily summaries from Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.

pct= — Percentage of emails to apply the policy to. Use <100% for gradual rollout.
